I was going to do today's blog post on my new trend called, "12 Million Scarves" but my cell phone is acting stupid and won't send the picture to my email so I can save it to my hard drive and upload it onto this post. SO I decided to talk about YouTube tonight. As many as you should know (I do hope you aren't living under a rock), many of today's artists have become popular because of their videos they have posted on YouTube. The most obvious of course is Justin Bieber, and others include Katy Perry, Avery, and Fred. I am going to venture out and make my own channel, as suggested to me from a friend. People think I'm funny on my blog, funny in person, and I could be funny on a YouTube channel. Let's do this!
I am just a normal college student with big dreams who loves to write. Someday I hope to write for an amazing fashion magazine, and one of my favorite movies is "The Devil Wears Prada."

Proper Church Attire
The thing that frustrates me the most about my brothers (the younger ones) and me is that they can do a lot more things than me and and get away with it. Isn't it so for all siblings, you say? It's not really true, we just choose to exaggerate? No, in my case it's true.
You can kind of see it here. This is Easter. I am dressed in the outfit my mother picked out for me even though I am eighteen. I do not like the shirt at all. It doesn't fit me right, and it feels uncomfortable because it's itchy. My brother Jared (the blond) is wearing a graphic t-shirt with a long sleeve buttondown that is not even BUTTONED! He thinks he's too good for Church or something, but I feel very strongly that people should follow a certain dress code when walking into the House of God. That means nice pants that you would feel dressed up wearing in school (or at least a little uncomfortable because they aren't easy to wear like jeans), and a top that has no words, symbols, or pictures on them. And NO sneakers. Jared breaks all of these rules basically every time we go to Church. I think the reason why I am even writing this is because I am mad at him for being completely disrespectful in Church yesterday. He was mumbling rude things during the hymns, slouching over, sighing, and talking back to Mom IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SERMON. I'm pretty sure the entire population of the Church noticed them bickering with me sitting in the middle.
Normally I love my brothers very much. This is why I had to include this extra picture of my little angels:
We're in Five Guys. That's why there's a straw.

I Really Need A Manicure...
...But just look at these gloves! I went to the mall with one of my besties from Portland, Kristin, and one of the stores we stopped in was The Icing. If you are not familiar with this store, it's mostly an adult version of Claire's where you would go to get accessories: purses, earrings, scarves, lip gloss...okay, lip gloss isn't really an accessory but you get the idea. One of items I was really impressed with were the gloves...mostly because I wouldn't normally wear them seeing as I don't own any and I'm in love with anything you would find in Seventeen that I can create an outfit around. Sometimes I look at that section in Seventeen where the girls create their own outfits and just sigh. Don't they have access to an entire Seventeen secret closet? I almost died when I saw the "Runway" version in "Devil Wears Prada" and screeched when I read about it in one of the "Clique" books. That would be absolutely amazing to have full access to a closet like that...if I had that kind of opportunity, I would kill myself if a picture of me appeared in a magazine in a less than fabulous outfit. One girl had on black leggings with brown boots...that just simply isn't done!
I apologize in advance for my less than fabulous finger nails...I'm planning on fixing them Sunday night/Monday morning. We're not at the photo shoot yet!
Which ones do you like the best?

Bikini Season...
...it's coming! I'm looking to get in shape anyway, and haven't worn a two-piece for almost three years! I'm young, I'm hot, and I deserve to wear a bikini! I really loved the mixmatched bikini look in Seventeen, and I am determined to pull it off! Granted, it's going to be hard: I already broke down by having a poptart this morning...but my jeans falling apart is just getting ridiculous. I will not give up like Tanner from "I Used To Be Fat." Which reminds me: I plan on watching an episode of this online every time I feel like over-eating. This disease called sugar tooth will not overcome me!
What I look like now...(well a couple weeks ago)
What I will look like by June... (from Seventeen. <3)

Hot Bag
I just wanted to take a moment to say a few words about bags. Backpack is so middle school...in college, everything is bag. Purse. Backpack. Clouch. No. Bag.
Here's a hot find I noted:
I have to be careful of who and what I take pictures of. I take most of these lovely pictures with my cell phone. For one reason, very handy. Just whip the cellie out, press the side botton, and click. Except sometimes it makes a sound, which brings us into a whole other story. My camera is also broken at the moment so the cell phone pics will have to do. But, about the sounds: people around me sometimes hear the sounds, because I forget to put it on mute in my excitement to capture the image, and they glance over at me taking a picture of a perfect stranger (or their bag). I don't want a restraining order, so I'll have to learn to be more discreet.
This bag, to me, is a perfect find. These messenger bags, at least to me, are highly convenient in that you can just reach in and grab something if you need your student ID or pen really quickly. And they look cute! Plus, this one especially, looks professional and expensive. This girl is also wearing Uggs, so I wouldn't put it past her. I wish I could afford Uggs. :(
Until next time...I want to call it an early night so I'll have lots of energy tomorrow to run, eat healthily, and maybe actually study/do homework. Bikini season is coming!!
I can't believe I miss my roommates already and it's precisely because of them I'm this tired. *Sigh.

Commercials For Good
I was innocently watching Skins on MTV out of boredom and curiosity when I came across a commercial. I didn't catch the whole thing...actually, I only caught the very end. Up on the screen were the words, "3,000 friends on Facebook and no one to talk to=?" Or something like that. I thought it was kind of ironic seeing I was just thinking about the Social Network, the movie, and it was a profound quote in my mind. I saw the website at the bottom of the page, halfofus.com...so easy to remember, and I typed it into my browser. I can't believe this is the first time I've heard of this website...it's all about the struggles of a college student, and I connected with it right away. I read/watched amazing clips on technology, eating disorders, cutting, depression, and stories from normal people and celebrities like Brittany Snow, Pete Wentz, and Mary J Blige. I never knew these iconic people could go through anything like this, and it encouraged me even more to go the Bible Talk, something that filled me with something, over French Club, which just made me feel even more empty. I've included the link here...maybe it'll help you, if you're in college, or a friend/family member.
I also found it kind of ironic how everyone kept on saying to go to a friend...no one ever mentioned anything about family.

Not even celebrities are perfect.
